2024 Events and Activities

The LAHS volunteer committee work hard to create a fun full year to raise awareness and interest in our local heritage. 

WE NEED YOUR HELP .. we NEED more volunteers to help organise events, marketing, admin, contacts – please help us.

Our 2023 – 24 season of lectures covers a fascinating breadth of local heritage topics
2nd Saturday of month 2.30 pm at the Rockfield Centre, Oban unless otherwise stated

All welcome : £3 donation for non members, included in £10 annual 2023/24 membership (£15 joint/family) JOIN US online today

March 23rd – A Celebration of the Life and Work of Donnchadh Bàn Macintyre (1724-1812), Anja Gunderloch, Lecturer in Celtic, University of Edinburgh

April 13th : Inaugural John MacFarlane Memorial Lecture : Gaelic in the landscape – Ross Christie

We need a new themed display for the Gathering events and something fab and fun for the St Conans Kirk Christmas Tree festival

So far we have a plan to 

         visit Luing for a guided exploration of the archaeology with Luing History Group
