Our 2022 – 23 Winter lectures
2nd Saturday of month 2.30 pm at the Rockfield Centre, Oban.

12th November 2022  : AGM (brief) :   Bob McCulloch Old Oban slides with the theme of Commemoration

10th December : Jennifer Shaw and Jamie MacGregor explore the insights that the Dunollie Rent Book give us into the economic relationships between MacDougall Chiefs and their tenants.

14th January 2023 : Dr James Fenton, previously ecologist for NTS, will explain some of the Landscape change in the Scottish Highlands between 1750 – 2020s

11th February : Clare Ellis of Argyll Archaeology will give us updates of Archaeology in the field – experience and findings from local archaeological digs in past few years. There have been some tremendous discoveries to learn about. 

11th March : What is happening in local heritage 2023 : updates and news from our local heritage sector eg : Dunollie, Rockfield, Lismore, Kilbride,Historic Environment Scotland, Kilmartin, Glencoe, Luing
